REVIEW: This week our Kindergarten classes had an amazing author visit by a local author, Lou Spetrino! If you are interested in an author visit check out the flyer below for all details!
The students were engaged hearing the story about Finley, they loved being surorised by a belief box appearing and coloring their belief tokens. And, of course, the personalized brain break video with students’ names being mentioned throughout was a bonus they were not expecting! It was a super exciting and well planned visit that left the students waiting for a return second visit when the next Finley book drops later in the Spring!

Discover the magic of storytelling through Lou's enchanting books and interactive sessions.

He conducts and interactive conversation with the children about the process of writing the book, from ideation to the importance of rewrites to obtain the best version of the story.

Spetrino tells the story of he how and when he created the character of Finley the Goblin for his children.

What are you afraid of? We all have something that we fear. Spetrino begins each session with an open discussion on the topic of fear. The children love to share the things they are afraid of. A bonus of doing this is that they discover that many of them share the same fears. That allows for a connection to be made.

Lou's storytelling captivated our students! His engaging author visit brought the magic of reading to life. Highly recommend for any school looking to inspire young readers.
